Our story

Why Wild Sky Coffee

It all started with a love of being outdoors and a love of good coffee.

Wild Sky Coffee makes coffee gear for people who like to make their coffee outside. We focus on lightweight, practical gear that works well on hiking trips, bikepacking adventures, weekends away or simply sitting somewhere beautiful with a coffee.

We started with titanium because it’s light, strong and made for being carried.

A few extra grams are worth it for a really good coffee.

We love coffee outside

I've always believed coffee is about more than caffeine. For me, it's a reason to slow down, be present, and appreciate where I am. Some of my favourite moments have been sitting beside a river, outside a tent, or on a mountain trail with a simple cup of coffee in my hands.

Wild Sky Coffee grew from that philosophy. I wanted to create a place for people who love the outdoors as much as they love the ritual of brewing coffee a place where adventure and slowing down can exist together.

Why Titanium

We’re big fans of good gear, and titanium ticks a lot of boxes for getting outdoors. It’s incredibly light, tough, corrosion resistant and doesn’t take up much room in your pack.

We chose titanium for much of our gear because it gives you the strength and durability you need without carrying a heap of extra weight. And if we’re going to take something with us, we reckon it should earn its place.

A favourite cup or pot becomes a treasured part of your kit. Our goal is to provide the coffee kit that you reach for on every hike.

We live the adventure

We’re Mark and Tarisha, and getting outside is a big part of how we like to spend our time. We hike, get out on the water, explore new places and, whenever we can, take our coffee with us.

A lot of the gear we choose for Wild Sky comes from what we actually use ourselves. We take it out there, put it through its paces, make coffee in some pretty great places and work out what’s worth carrying and what isn’t.

For us, the effort of getting out there is part of the reward. Finding somewhere beautiful, making a good coffee and taking a moment to enjoy it is what Wild Sky is all about. There’s a bit of magic being outside we just reckon it’s worth making the effort to find it.
